Kayla Scranton Named Lilly Endowment Community Scholar for Switzerland County

The Community Foundation of Switzerland County Inc. is pleased to announce that Kayla Scranton is the 2019-2020 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient for Switzerland County.

Kayla is the daughter of Harold and Lisa Scranton of Bennington.  She is the Secretary of her class, Vice-President of FFA, is a member of the National Honor Society and has been named Academic Archer for all three years that she competed on the archery team.  Outside of school, Kayla is a Junior Leader with 4-H, is an active member of the East Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and works several hours a week at the local Shell Gas Station.  Kayla plans on majoring in biology and is undecided on which college she will be attending.

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship provides full tuition for four years of undergraduate study leading to a baccalaureate degree.  It also covers all required fees and up to $900 per year for required books and equipment.  It does not cover room, board or travel expenses.  Students receiving the scholarship must attend an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana.
