Community Foundation of Switzerland County Inc.
The Community Foundation of Switzerland County Inc. is pleased to announce that Claire Rogers is Switzerland County’s 2024- 2025 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient. Claire is the daughter of Josh and Renee Rogers of Pleasant. Ironically, Renee was the first-ever Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient in Switzerland County when the program began in 1998.
Claire excels academically and has a diverse range of activities that she has participated in, from serving as the President of her class to playing soccer and basketball to being heavily involved in FFA. She has also completed several community service activities for her community. After she graduates from high school, Claire plans to major in physical therapy but is currently undecided on which Indiana college/university she plans on attending.
Each Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship provides full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years. It does not cover room and board and other optional expenses. The scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students leading to a baccalaureate degree at any eligible Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university. Lilly Endowment Community Scholars may also participate in the Lilly Scholars Network (LSN), which connects both current scholars and alumni with resources and opportunities to be active leaders on their campuses and in their communities.
